Description

The Pentair 410001Z is the OEM replacement 2-1/2 inch C-clip locking ring for the WhisperFloXF and MAX-E-PRO XF pump families. This listing includes a quantity of 2 rings.

⚠️ IMPORTANT: QUANTITY REQUIRED PER SYSTEM
The WhisperFloXF VS and Max-E-ProXF VS variable speed pumps require 2 C-clip locking rings per unit for a complete service. This listing supplies exactly that quantity — 2 rings per pack.

The C-clip locking ring secures the pump’s union connection at the 2-1/2 inch port, maintaining a pressure-tight seal between the pump and the plumbing union. When the locking ring becomes cracked, deformed, or fails to hold tension, the union joint can work loose under operating pressure, resulting in leaks at the pump inlet or outlet. Replacing a damaged ring restores the clamping force that keeps the union assembly locked in position.

Pro Tip

Before ordering, check the model number on your pump’s nameplate and confirm the union port size is 2-1/2 inches. The WhisperFloXF and MAX-E-PRO XF platforms share this locking ring, but if your pump has a different port size, a different ring part number applies. When servicing the union connection, inspect the union O-ring at the same time — replacing both together eliminates the need to drain and reopen the line a second time.
