Description

Precision-engineered as a drop-in replacement for 48 sq. ft. DE filter systems, the Unicel FG-1004 is a single full-size grid built to exact OEM dimensional tolerances. Its reinforced construction delivers long-lasting pressure resistance, reliable filtration performance, and a snug manifold fit across a wide range of Hayward, Pentair, Sta-Rite, Jandy, Jacuzzi, Waterway, and Astral filter models.

This product is a single (1) replacement DE filter grid — it is NOT a complete set. A full filter service requires multiple grids. Hayward, Pentair, Jandy, Waterway, and Astral 48 sq. ft. systems use 7 full grids (FG-1004) + 1 partial grid (PG-1904). Sta-Rite and Jacuzzi Earthworks 48 systems use 8 full grids (FG-1004) with no partial grid required. Verify your filter model and grid count before ordering.

Pro Tip: Always turn off the pump and release all pressure from the filter tank via the air relief valve before opening the tank to replace grids. When rebuilding, confirm the correct grid count for your specific filter model — 7 full + 1 partial (Hayward, Pentair, Jandy, Waterway, Astral) or 8 full (Sta-Rite, Jacuzzi) — and inspect the manifold o-ring and collar alignment before reassembly.
