Description

The Pentair 461105Z is the OEM Control Board Kit for the MasterTemp and Max-E-Therm pool and spa heaters (125, 250, and 400) — Natural Gas (NA) and Liquid Propane (LP) versions. This kit replaces the PCBA and membrane keypad as a matched assembly, restoring full heater control and automation connectivity.

This product replaces the 461105 prior product and per Pentair Pool service department, they are cross-compatible.

The PCBA is the primary control module for the heater — managing ignition sequencing, temperature regulation, and RS485 communication with automation systems such as IntelliTouch and EasyTouch. When the control board fails, common symptoms include no-start conditions, persistent fault codes on the display, and loss of automation connectivity. Replacing the PCBA and membrane keypad together as a matched kit ensures consistent electrical contacts between the board and the keypad buttons, avoiding intermittent input failures that can result from mixing components across service intervals.
