The Pentair Drain Plug (U78-920PZ) is the OEM replacement drain plug for the IntelliPro series variable speed pumps, including the IntelliPro VS, IntelliPro VSF, and IntelliPro 2 VST.

The IntelliPro VS compatibility is specific to units manufactured after 2018. The original IntelliPro Variable Speed Pump (pre-2019) uses a different quantity — 1 plug per unit. Verify your pump’s manufacture date before ordering.

The drain plug seals the pump housing drain port, preventing water from escaping the volute when the pump is shut down or winterized. A cracked or missing drain plug allows the pump body to drain unintentionally during operation or permits water ingress that can freeze and crack the housing during cold-weather shutdowns.
