The Unicel FG-1002 is a single replacement full DE filter grid engineered for 24 square foot diatomaceous earth filter systems. Designed to exact dimensional tolerances with a reinforced 12″ fabric grid body and a 2-notch open slot collar, it delivers a precision fit into Hayward, Pentair, Pac Fab, American Products, Sta-Rite, and Astral filter manifolds — stopping debris and maintaining the filtration efficiency your pool depends on.

Pro Tips

  • Safety first: Always turn off the pump and release all pressure from the filter tank via the air relief valve before opening the tank to replace grids.
  • Measure before you order: Verify your grid length by measuring the fabric body from end cap to end cap — collar not included. Your existing grid should measure 12″ to confirm FG-1002 is the correct fit.
  • Check your collar: The FG-1002 uses a 2-notch open slot collar. Inspect and replace your manifold o-rings while the filter is open for best performance.
  • Replacing the full set? For most 24 sq. ft. systems, a complete re-grid requires 7× FG-1002 full grids + 1× PG-1902 partial grid. Sta-Rite compatible models require 8× FG-1002 only.
  • Find your filter size: Check the label on the side of your filter tank — the model number and filter area (sq. ft.) are printed there.
