The Pentair Adapter Fitting (24900-0509Z) is the OEM replacement adapter fitting for Pentair (formerly Sta-Rite) System 3 and System:2 Modular D.E. Filters. If your filter’s fitting is cracked, stripped, or leaking at the base, this is the direct replacement.

⚠️ IMPORTANT: MODEL DATE RESTRICTION — SYSTEM:2 PLD SERIES
This fitting is confirmed for System:2 Modular D.E. Filter models PLD50 and PLD70 manufactured prior to October 2003 only. If your PLD50 or PLD70 was manufactured on or after 10/03, this part may not be correct. Check the date code on your filter tank before ordering.

What It Does

This adapter fitting serves as a port interface on the filter tank body, allowing the associated assembly to seat and seal correctly. A damaged or degraded adapter fitting can cause persistent leaks or prevent the fitting from closing fully. Replacing it restores a proper seal and prevents water loss during normal operation or winterization.
